


More than 400 people attended the fifth Jersey Construction Awards on Friday at Hotel de France.
The evening was hosted by Suzannah Nichol, the chief executive of the National Specialist Contractors Council.
The evening celebrated excellence in the industry over the last year. Also the awards committee chairman, Daren Malorey spoke about the industry's charity, the Brick Foundation.
This year the charity is helping former JEP assistant editor, Anthony Lewis, who suffered a stroke in 2007. Funds will be used to convert a small external storage building at his house into an area where Mr Lewis can recieve stroke rehabilitation treatment.
Entertainment was provided by sword-wielding acrobats Babes with Blades.
